Can you believe it is the last week of Kindergarten?!! We have a busy week ahead so here are some reminders of what we will be doing:
Monday: Science Lab- Beach Lab 12:20-1:00
Tuesday: Field Day- Have your child wear his/her lime green SAE shirt & tennis shoes. Please apply sunscreen at home before school as we will be outside until noon. We will also eat lunch later than usual so have your child bring 2 snacks on Tuesday (1 for field day and 1 for the afternoon). Your child can also bring a water bottle. We still need volunteers so let us know if you can come help with Field Day! The Volunteer Appreciation lunch is right after Field Day so come help and then eat lunch at SAE. :-)
Wednesday: If your child bought a Year Book, they can bring it on Wednesday to be signed. If your child did not buy a yearbook, we will give them an autograph book to have signed.
We will also visit 1st Grade on Wednesday! We will walk through all the classrooms, meet the teachers, and get to ask 1st graders questions about what to expect next year.
Thursday: All items from the classroom will be sent home on Thursday.
Friday: Wear Red, White, & Blue to celebrate our Patriotic End of Year Party from 12:30-1:30. All families are invited to attend.
*Report Cards Envelopes will be sent home on Friday. You will receive your child's report card, GKIDS report, Placement Test results and Recommended Levels for 1st Grade, as well as DRA Reading Levels.
The letter stating Placement Test Scores for Reading may show a score of 0%. This means that your child could not read the passages on the test. Please remember that this test contained end of 1st grade level reading passages.
** Thank you all so much for the wonderful Birthday Party on Friday! We enjoyed celebrating with you all. I will post pictures of the Birthday Photo Booth this week. We had so much fun!
