We had such a great week learning about Thanksgiving Long Ago and Now. We really loved hearing about how your families will celebrate together next week. Thank you to all the parents that sent in donations for the Thanksgiving Feast today. We had so much fun and enjoyed sharing and celebrating with all the Kindergarten Classes. Check the November Photo Gallery for pictures. We discussed the hardships of the Pilgrims and why the First Thanksgiving was so special because of the help and friendship of the Wampanoag Indians. We compared this first celebration with how Thanksgiving is celebrated today and talked about how they are alike and different. We also made a Thanksgiving Recipe Book for you to read together. Enjoy!
We continued our Numeral Writing this week for Math. We will begin to count and label sets after the break so review the Numeral Song (Songs/Videos tab) if you can.
We finished our Informational Writing books this week and enjoyed learning facts about all the different topics. We will continue with Informational Writing after the break too.
We are so THANKFUL that you share your children with us everyday and hope you enjoy your time together next week. See you in December!
Next Week's Themes: Informational Writing, Holidays Around the World, Guided Reading, Read to Self, and Counting & Labeling Sets
